HUBUNGAN ANTARA TINGKAT PENDIDIKAN DAN POLA ASUH ORANG TUA DENGAN KECERDASAN SPIRITUAL ANAK SEKOLAH MENENGAH PERTAMA DI KECAMATAN MENGWI

Abstract


Humans are born into the world by having three intelligences, namely spiritual intelligence, emotional intelligence and intellectual intelligence. Spiritual intelligence is the highest intelligence that combines both forms of intelligence, namely intellectual intelligence and emotional intelligence. A person's spiritual intelligence will be high if the level of education and parenting patterns of a person is also good.

This study aims to describe the level of education and parental parenting to the spiritual intelligence of Junior High School children in Mengwi Subdistrict. In addition to knowing whether or not the relationship of each variable.

The approach used in this study is quantitative with correlational causal design, in this study to determine the causal relationship of the emphasis on the correlated variables. The variables studied are one dependent variable that is spiritual intelligence (Y) and two independent variables, namely the level of parent education (X1) and parenting parents (X2). The population in this study is all students of class VIII of Junior High School in Mengwi Subdistrict which is Hinduism is 1,983 students. Determination of the size of the sample using a formula formulated by William G. Chocran who get the number of samples of 180 students who can represent the population with proportional sampling area techniques where the take by taking into account the number of existing population in each school. Technique of collecting data using instrument in the form of questionnaires to capture the data of three variables are: (1) spiritual intelligence, (2) parental education level and (3) parenting pattern.

The result of research shows: (1) there is correlation between parent education level to spiritual intelligence with correlation value 0,361 and significance level equal to 0,05, (2) there is relation between parenting parenting to spiritual intelligence with correlation value 0,358 and Significance of 0,05 and (3) there is correlation between educational level and parenting pattern to spiritual intelligence with correlation value of 0,365 and significance level equal to 0,05.
